This past Sunday we celebrated my mother-in-laws 91st birthday. We went to a restaurant I have not visited in sometime. It was the Lynx Lake Cafe. What a great Meal! It is a shame as a longtime resident of Prescott I have grown complacent and only visit the same places. It was lunch time and the place was pretty crowded (good sign). The lunch menu has a German flare to it. They had schnitzel, bratwurst, potato pancakes and spatzle. What is schnitzel you ask? It is a thinly sliced piece of meat pounded for tenderness and breaded then fried. It could be a number of different meats including chicken, beef or veal. Do not fret if you are bringing the whole family. They have tenders and burgers for the less adventurous. The ambiance is wonderful overlooking Lynx Lake. They have boat rentals including paddle boats, canoes, and electric motor boats. Being the restaurant is situated on the shore of Lynx Lake you could take a nice walk around the lake before or after your meal.
